The traineeship starts on April 1st 2022 and is limited to 18 months with the option of a permanent position.

What you will do

  • Shape the future of energy with us by applying your analytical skills using market news, data and models
  • Work on different operational and/or strategic tasks in your assignments
  • Participate in various projects where meteorology affects the business in very diverse ways ranging from extended range predictability aspects affecting the forward energy market to the improvement of local weather forecasts for catchments of hydropower plants.
  • Learn more about the daily business of various departments of Trading & Sales
  • Carry out researches and introduce innovative approaches to our challenges

What you bring & who you are

  • Master in Meteorology / Climate Sciences or closely related field
  • Solid coding skills using a language like python, R or Matlab
  • Excellent knowledge about meteorology / atmospheric dynamics
  • First work experience as an intern or student employee
  • Good data management know-how
  • High degree of initiative and flexibility
  • Fluency in English and German is a plus
