About us

Axpo reliably produces, trades and sells energy for over three million people and thousands of companies in Switzerland. It is an international leader in energy trading and in the development of tailor-made energy solutions for its customers. The Beznau nuclear power plant is part of Axpo's power plant portfolio. It consists of two structurally identical light water reactors, each with a nominal capacity of 365 megawatts. Together, the two reactors generate approximately 6,000 gigawatt hours of electricity per year. With around 500 employees, the Beznau nuclear power plant has been producing climate-friendly electricity for over 50 years. And that makes us proud!
