We are looking for the CIO/CDO for our business area Generation & Distribution (G&D) with a turnover of more than 1.9 billions CHF. G&D includes various subdivisions, such as renewables, grid, nuclear and the Axpo hydro business. In this exciting and new role you will be responsible for actively driving digitalization of our business in close collaboration with business divisions and Group IT. What you will do

  • Actively drive digitalization of the business area and define/implement the business area IT strategy. Define organizational structure and governance process. Use influencing and negotiation skills to create synergies across the enterprise to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions in achievement of business goals
  • Responsible that IT capabilities are delivered reliably, sustainably, cost effectively and securely but with enough agility based on changing business objectives, goals and strategies
  • Maintains currency on new technologies and provides direction on what emerging technologies should be assimilated, integrated and introduced within the enterprise to cover the needs of the enterprise's digital business strategy
  • Establish relationships with business unit leaders and members of their teams and act as a trusted advisor that they can make the right decisions about the application of information and technology
  • Develop and control annual operating and capital expenditure budget for IT

What you bring & who you are

  • Open, engaging, agile and energetic personality with a good ability to drive change in a way where there is a good level of support and consensus from the main stakeholders
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a combination of IT leadership, driving digital transformation, IT strategy definition, Enterprise Architecture, project portfolio mgmt, information security, ERP, Infrastructure, Cloud & service management
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies with knowledge in cloud technologies, enterprise architecture frameworks, IT application and infrastructure, IT operating models, service management and Microsoft or Google productivity tools
  • Fluency in English, German is an advantage

About the team

As CIO/CDO for the business unites Generation & Distribution you will be responsible for a team of about 3 to 5 people. Together you will have the full ownership for the establishment and execution of the business area IT strategy. As a member of the Generation & Distribution and the Group IT leadership team, the CIO/CDO participates in and contributes to overall enterprise business model, operating model and business strategy development.
